Interstate 77 Tractor Trailer Crash Results in Two Fatalities
A serious tractor-trailer crash on Thursday on Interstate 77 in Yadkin County, North Carolina has resulted in the death of two innocent victims. The crash apparently happened when traffic on the interstate slowed to a halt but a following tractor-trailer did not slow down and crashed into the rear of the lineup.
Two people in a passenger vehicle were apparently in the stopped traffic when the tractor-trailer struck and were killed in the collision.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating this accident. In serious cases such as this, we would expect the SHP reconstruction team to be on-site as well to determine the sequence of events leading to this collision.
