Teresa Murph Killed in Mount Airy NC Crash With Tractor-Trailer
A woman named Teresa Murph was tragically killed in a crash on Friday morning on NC Highway 89 in Surry County, North Carolina.
The crash happened at around 5:45 am between I-74 and I-77. According to available information, Ms. Murph was travelling southwest on NC 89 when a tractor-trailer attempted a U-turn in front of her. Ms. Murph apparently went under the trailer portion of the rig.
There is some indication that it was foggy when the wreck occurred. It seems very questionable for a tractor-trailer driver to attempt a U-turn under these driving conditions. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and it is not clear if the NCSHP has assigned fault to anyone as of yet.
