Marie Holt and Child Killed in Pink Hill, NC Dump Truck Crash
A terrible crash in Pink Hill, North Carolina involving a dump truck has resulted in two deaths. The crash happened on US Highway 258 on Monday at approximately 9:00 am between the intersection Highway 258 and Jonestown and Pleasant Hill roads.
According to reports, the dump truck crossed the center line and struck a Honda Accord head-on. The driver of the Honda Accord, Marie Holt and her 7-year-old son were killed. The driver of the dump truck has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
Reports indicate that the State Highway Patrol is still investigating this crash. Typically, investigations of multiple fatality crashes such as this one will involve the State Highway Patrols accident reconstruction unit. Ultimately, a report should be prepared that provides detailed information about why the truck crossed the center line.
There is very little information about the dump truck or the driver except that the driver was from Nashville, North Carolina. It is not clear if the driver was hauling a load for any particular company.
